Amanda Jensen, Owner
Amanda H. Jensen is currently an adjunct online instructor for Brigham Young University-Idaho teaching Religion 261, Introduction to Family History. As of April 2023, she is in her tenth semester teaching. Mrs. Jensen loves helping with genealogical research worldwide and teaching others her passion.
Mrs. Jensen has worked with students from every populated continent online. Ms. Jensen has taught boy scout groups, and from teenagers to great-grandparents.
A graduate of Loyola University Chicago's Digital Humanities Masters program, Mrs. Jensen learned about designing and building web sites with genealogical technology in mind. Previous to Loyola, Mrs. Jensen graduated from BYU's Family History-Genealogy Bachelor program.
Mrs. Jensen has previously worked with WorldVitalRecords.com, and written a book, Family History Tips, and 132 articles for the WorldVitalRecords.com newsletter. Mrs. Jensen taught at genealogy conferences and written manuals for basic genealogy courses.
Her researching specialty is Mid-Atlantic United States research, but she has also performed research on East European (Slovak), Canadian, British, and other North American areas. She loves opportunities to work with people from any ethnicity or background.
Mrs. Jensen currently lives in southeastern Virginia with her family and enjoys sewing, gardening, international and local cuisine, and working with her church.
